We know if you serve girls, you must first listen.

What good is information if you don’t share it?

In the last two years, The Women’s Fund in funding partnership with The Columbus Foundation, Cardinal Health, and Nationwide Insurance awarded a grant to a collaborative of non-profits to include:  Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX), The Mentoring Center of Central Ohio, The Interprofessional Commission of Ohio, Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland and YWCA of Columbus to find out what is happening with girls in our community and how best to help them reach their potential.  The result?  A sharing with the community about what girls need and how we can all step up to serve them.

The Columbus Metropolitan Club hosted the sold out – One Girl: The Status of Girls in Central Ohio featuring Kelly Budros, Director of Programs, The Women’s Fund; Dr. Lisa Hinkelman, Executive Director of the Interprofessional Commission of Ohio and Founder/Director of Ruling Our Experiences (ROX); Scott Boles, Business Improvement Specialist; Sequent and moderator Ann Fisher, WOSU Public Media.
