Be the change you wish to see in the world. -Gandhi

  • Individual donors are the lifeblood of The Women's Fund of Central Ohio. Your contributions, regardless of size, make our grantmaking possible.
  • Our grants enhance the economic independence and innovative leadership of women and the life skills of girls. Our grants promise social change for all in Central Ohio.
  • Through a single grant to a program serving Central Ohio's women and girls, your influence is multiplied times over.
  • An opportunity to give is an opportunity to get involved.
  • We continue to work diligently on behalf of Central Ohio's women and girls. Here are a few reasons why:

> Though the more than 400,000 women in the Central Ohio work force, women here earn 70 cents to a man's dollar.

> There are over 73,000 single female-headed households in Central Ohio-nearly triple the number of single male-headed households. Yet only one third of these women own their own homes.

> Though women in Central Ohio comprise 51% of the population and 47% of the workforce and bring over $5million to the economy from businesses they own, there are no female CEOs of publicly held companies in the area and only 9.9% of corporate board seats in Central Ohio are held by women.

>Women in Central Ohio are more likely than men to vote (60.8% women to 54.9% men). Yet women are underrepresented in elected official positions.

    • 6 of 21 county commissioners are women
    • 18 of 79 mayors are women
    • 4 out of 25 common pleas court judges are women
